In this workshop, students will have the chance to create a self-portrait that is influenced by a master artist. Students will briefly learn about artists from the past to contemporary artists. At the end of the workshop, there will be a self-portrait that can be hung up for the family or given to a loved one!

Teresa Ricci
Leader
Teresa is in their junior year at SUNY New Paltz. They are studying Painting and Drawing, but also enjoy printmaking and are learning ceramics. Teresa’s art focuses on gender identity and other current political issues. They hope their art can help make someone else feel comfortable with their own identity and help others understand different LGBTQIA+ labels. They hope this workshop will inspire people to create their own work and research artists students are inspired by.
