Smart Arts Workshops
Roost Studios has partnered with SUNY New Paltz students and professionals from the fields of art and music to develop and deliver fun and interactive educational workshops for children ages 8-13.

All virtual art and music education workshops can be accessed
from the comfort and safety of your own home!

"Art & Nature: Outside the Box"
Connecting art and the great outdoors!
Participants will be making art inspired by nature using natural materials outdoors to SPARK creativity.
Workshop to take place Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 10am-12:30pm.
"Fun Figurative"
Learning and Creating: Self-Portrait Art
Students will learn about past and contemporary artists and will create their very own self-portrait that is influenced by a master artist.
Workshop to take place Saturday, January 8th, 2022 from 10-11:30am.

"Art During Times of Uncertainty, Unrest, and Change"
Art has always played a vital role in society during uncertain times. It offers an outlet to react to current events and often encourages social change, while also spreading hope and awareness. From the art of the Civil Rights movement of the ’60s to the current Black Lives Matter movement, and art from the 1918 Pandemic to Covid, take a deeper dive into what makes art so powerful and effective during these times.
