Roost Studios has partnered with SUNY New Paltz students and professionals from the fields of art and music to develop and deliver fun and interactive educational workshops for children ages 10-15.

All virtual art and music education workshops can be accessed

from the comfort and safety of your own home!

Available Workshops:

"Rockin' Through the Years"

Learn about history of pop music from 1900 to 2000.​

By the end of the program, you will be able to identify famous tunes, composers, and performers who were the driving forces leading us to the pop music of today..

"Poet and I Know It"

A deep dive into the history of poetry.

By the end of the program you will be able to identify and distinguish varying styles of poetry and know how to properly construct and compose pieces such as limerick, sonnets and many more.

"Learning-2-Look with Roost"

Art During Times of Uncertainty, Unrest, and Change.

From the art of the Civil Rights movement of the ’60s to the current Black Lives Matter movement, or art from the Women’s Suffrage to the Women’s March, take a deeper dive into what makes art so powerful and effective during these times and so many others.

"Artists and their Work"

Learn about artists from antiquity to contemporary.

All Smart Arts makers will have an opportunity to create their very own masterpiece influenced by the artists they learned about that week. Students will walk away with knowledge of eight artists and amazing works of art at the end of the workshop!
