What is most notable about my oil or acrylic paintings and commissioned portraits are the vibrant color and energy. I use imagery of people, places and objects from life and imagination and reinvent them through the creative process alive in me as a joyful expressionism. The mood may be quirky, laugh-out-loud funny, or harmonious. My work has evolved from a pop-y narrative with graphic outlines, to a softer edge, broader subject, and incorporation of more painterly elements. The color, energy, accessible imagery and good mood are consistent and distinctive to my art. I call it Love Through Art.
I paint for the joy of creation, to celebrate the spirit, to satisfy the eye, to engage in childlike imagination, to feel free, to use juicy color, to connect people, for the love of art!
